Jambo. Iโm Kimberlee. Thatโs two Eโs no Y.
The Short Version: Dancer. Smiler. Alto. Reader. READER. Thrift Store Entuthiest. Part-Time Magic Maker. Full-Time Event Planner. Karen Slayer. Bibliophilic. Cinephilic. Only Child. Annoying Older Sister to Some. Friend to most. Realist to All. Token Black Girl. Side-Eye Black Belt. Black Girl Magical. Bold. Blessed.
The Long Version: 30 something black woman, oozing sarcasm and shade, whose often uncontrolled side-eyes and judgemental facials are always sent with love. Speaking of love, who and what is she? I am still out here just trying to figure it out like the rest of you girls... but in the meantime, in-between time, I am learning to fall in love with many other things, and words are one of them.
I started this blog to stop writing long Facebook dissertations, and because apparently, people donโt enjoy being dragged on their socials. Oops. Plus, I needed an outlet and a proper space to let out the feels and collection of thoughts I had on things. Still deciding if it's a good idea.
We will talk about life, love, black lives, black girl magic and blackness, friendship, music, books, and films, pop culture, social goings-on, or basically whatever gets the juices going.
Long term goals: A Ted Talk
Short term goals: World Domination
For the record: I am not a writer, but rather a person with opinions, humor, and an interesting outlook on life. Proceed at your own risk.

The author is not responsible for grammatical errors, levels of shade, the depths of her blackness, the honesty of her tone, the sass in her side-eye, the realness, the awkwardness, the weirdness, the did she just say that, the overall validity of her facts and the magic in her melanin. All stories are true, or at least to her they are. What she can promise you is a good time, a good read, a good laugh, and some food for thought.
Youโve been warned.
